Camping Cabano was a nice campsite with everything we needed. The cost was reasonable as well ($10 each). They had a store, restaurant, and live music from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.
We had to clean our bikes, which took at least an hour. The sand from the path got into all areas of our bikes so we had to use Q-Tips to get the important parts cleaned. We’ll have to do the same tonight because it was raining and the path was muddy and sandy all the way to New Brunswick.
Yes, we are in New Brunswick! We were happy to switch to the highway. As nice and sheltered as the paths were in Quebec, I look forward to riding faster and having smoother roads. So far, the first bit of New Brunswick roads have wide shoulders and are smooth, but that’s no guarantee the rest of New Brunswick is like this.
We made it to a campground on the outskirts of Edmundston. We didn’t make it far due to the rain and rough ride; however, tomorrow we have to start moving a bit faster so we can make up time for the recent short days.
Today we travelled 74 km.
